Getting Outdoor Ready with the Wayfair Outdoor Sale

Let me start by acknowledging that this post is not sponsored by Wayfair or any third party. I’m just someone who shops around like you and enjoys dreaming, planning, and browsing. I love to find inspiration and hoped you would too! That being said, this post does include affiliate links. To learn more about that, please read our Affiliate Disclosure.

Every now and then I pop onto Wayfair to browse around. One of Wayfair’s marketing models is to have perpetual sales happening, but I just so happened to notice that this week is their massive outdoor sale. Since the weather has been warming up and I’ve had my mind on the summer ahead, I thought it would be fun to browse through and pull out a few of their sale items to feature here.

I likely won’t be purchasing anything until we make our way to our new house in Virginia, but I’ve been having lots of fun dreaming and planning. Our new home has a ton of deck space with a stunning view of the valley and I already know it will be a favourite spot to spend our down time. We have some pieces of outdoor furniture that we’ll be moving down with us, but we also plan to invest in some really nice comfortable outdoor furniture in order to make the deck a true oasis for our family and guests. These items are a few that caught my eye.

Bar-Height Patio Dining Set // Love the idea of a bar-height table to maximize on the views. I also think it could add some interest to a smaller outdoor space, as the raised height would draw the eye up and make a statement.

Scalloped Terracotta Tabletop Planter // The scalloped detail on such a tactile material creates so much interest. Some juicy greenery in this planter would also create a beautiful contrast with the feminine scalloped detail.

Patio Rocking Chairs (set of 2) // This set of rockers would be beautiful on a front porch paired with a set of textured outdoor throw pillows.

Charcoal Outdoor Area Rug // I’m a big fan of outdoor rugs. They add an additional layer of comfort, but are resilient enough to withstand some of the elements. I like how this one adds some texture and pattern, but is neutral enough to work with any furniture you may already have.

Jute Doormat // Simple, understated, and classy - this mat is versatile enough to be used through all the seasons.

Canvas Sunbrella Outdoor Throw Cushions // I love the simplicity of these, as most outdoor cushions include bright bold patterns. The subtle touch of blue is a great compliment to the outdoors.

Vertical Planter // I’ve been eying a vertical planter for years and I may just pull the trigger on this one. It would be great for growing fresh herbs on a patio or deck, but I could just as easily envision it sitting in a sunny spot indoors. If you’re limited on space, a vertical planter is definitely the way to go!

Black Ribbed Planter // I love a simple planter that lets the beauty of the plants shine. One of these on either side of your front door would be an understated welcome.

Steel Series Cube Planter // I love the unique patina of this cube planter. It’s part of a series that includes longer raised planters, taller planters, and window box planters, so you could customize a really beautiful set to ground your space.

Wicker Chair Set (3 pieces) // For a small space, this little set would pack a big punch. I love the idea of a little chair set for a small porch or side yard. You can either curl up with a coffee or socialize with a friend.

Black Plastic Side Table // In an outdoor space, you can’t have enough table space, in my opinion. Whether you need a spot to set down a glass or a plate of chips and salsa, this little table is lightweight so it can easily be moved around.

Fluted Acrylic Glasses (set of 6) // I love a good outdoor glass for al fresco dining and afternoons spent laying in the sun. These fluted glasses look like the real deal, but you don’t have to stress if one does get dropped or tipped over.

Black Resin Window Planter Box // These come in a variety of different lengths to match your windows. I love how simple windowboxes can immediately transform any house into a storybook home.

I know that this collection is fairly understated, especially as most outdoor furniture and decor can be quite colourful and bold. Personally, I tend to lean towards more neutral exterior furniture and decor choices so that the natural world around can do the talking. However, there are endless options of items on sale for every style and every budget, which is one of my favourite things about shopping at Wayfair. Sometimes that can make browsing a little overwhelming, but it also can be a benefit in finding exactly what speaks to you.

I hope you found inspiration here. If you were to choose one or two pieces to spruce up an outdoor space, which would they be?
