The Little List | April 8, 2021

This week is flying by and I’m thankful for it. It feels good to be into the fourth month of the year already. Despite the third wave of lockdown restrictions in my area, I am thankful for sunny days, buds on the trees, and the smell of Spring floating through the air. Here are some other things that are making me happy, making me think, or helping me grow this week:

  1. I officially started Week 15 of my gratitude journal! I started using this beautifully designed, simple, prompted gratitude journal just after Christmas, and I’m blown away by how much of an impact two minutes a day of intentional gratitude has had on my overall outlook. I’ve read from experts time and time again about how much of an impact adopting an attitude of gratitude can have on your mental health and I’m starting to see it and believe it in my own life.

  2. Baseball season is back! I wouldn’t consider myself a super fan, but something about the sound of a baseball broadcast humming in the background while you sprawl across the couch in the evening just makes my nostalgic heart so happy. (But also, Go Jays Go!)

  3. I finally finished our fireplace project and it feels so good to be done. I have now been focussing my energy on how to style the built-in shelves and have been enjoying looking up tons of inspiration on Pinterest. I love this casual monochromatic look but also want to bring some warmth to mine like this beautiful collected look. I also don’t want to fill it with stuff just to fill it with stuff, so I’m trying to take my time to gather some ideas and items that feel meaningful and useful. You can see my full Pinterest inspo board here.

  4. One of my current favourite pastimes is searching vintage amber glassware on Etsy. One of these days, I’m going to pull the trigger and buy some, like maybe this set or this set.

  5. I’ve started thinking about some ideas to celebrate Mabel’s 2nd birthday in early May and have decided we are going to do a simple puppy-themed pawty. She sure loves dogs! We are going to keep it really casual, but I’ve been trying to think of ways to make it special, like by getting some cute puppy plates, handmaking some decorations, and ordering some special treats from a crazy-talented local macaron maker.

  6. With warmer temperatures, I have been living in this shirt jacket and it has been so versatile. But I also can’t wait to receive the gift I ordered for Curt to give me for my birthday (anyone else do this?): this perfect light Spring jacket for this home-loving heart.

  7. I’ve talked about the Noble Blood Podcast on here before, but this new episode was such a fun listen that I couldn’t help but share again.

What’s on your little list this week?
